Civility Social House: Comfort Food, Cocktails, and Desserts in Somerville, MA

Met a friend from out of town tonight at Civility. Great menu, high quality food and an awesome server. Lou was attentive, personable and professional. We will return!

High quality customer service! Came here to explore the neighborhood while considering putting an offer in on a house. My husband ordered a brunch chicken but that was beyond excellent. I ordered the brunch burger medium rare. The presentation was lovely, but the burger was massively overcooked. No big deal it happens, even in my favorite spots. I decided it was not worth the calories, and ate the salad and potatoes that accompanied it. I also hate complaining about food and was so jazzed about the house that I didn't want to put a damper on the mood by asking to have the dish fixed. The host noticed I'd barely eaten my burger, and insisted on comping me my meal. It was lovely, and completely unexpected. The attention to detail was beyond excellent. It was obvious from my husband's meal and my sides that the restaurant is typically very good, but having an off day for the burger. Our offer was accepted! I'm hoping all works out and I may become a regular here!

Food-3/5 Atmosphere-4.5/5 Service-5/5 We were looking for a place to have a nice outdoor dinner on a Friday night and landed here. We were immediately greeted by nice staff who gave us the option of eating inside or outside. We choose outside and it was the perfect night to eat outside. I chose the steak entree and substituted whipped mashed potatoes for the tater tots. The mashed potatoes ended up being the star of the show! The steak was cooked well but was a bit under-seasoned for my liking. The charred broccolini appeared more boiled and didn't have much flavor. I would definitely come back and try another entree because the staff was amazing and my margarita flight was tasty. The spicy margarita did in fact have a kick so I had to allow my husband to finish that one for me. Overall I think this place is worth the visit.

Staying nearby on our trip to the area, we thought this looked like a good place to have dinner our first night. Really happy with the choice. With a great patio area and sleek interior, it was definitely inviting. The weather was perfect for us to dine on the patio and I would say it's a romantic atmosphere. Great service and I enjoyed the food. I had the fish and chips. Great batter on the fish and decent flavor. Nice place in a vibrant area.

Had an excellent dinner at this spot located right off the assembly row stop near the T. The vibes were good and staff very friendly. I tried pretzels with cheese which had the cheese dip heated by a candle which was neat. Tried their chicken sandwich and for dessert the skillet cookie and ice cream. Huge amount of food for an excellent price. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this place for a casual dinner and drinks
